Saddle Safes, Tack Safes and TackGuard
This photograph shows the type of tackroom a criminal would like to visit. This tackroom didn’t even have a lock on the door! It’s an open invitation to thieves, and it is questionable whether the insurance company would have paid out in the event of a break-in here.
Proper saddle security is essential. Put your riding equipment in a place where it can’t be illegally removed. The TackGuard is a purpose built saddle safe for all your riding equipment.
TackGuard
Not only an effective saddle safe, TackGuard is in fact a small strongroom, and has been designed exclusively to protect not only your saddles, but your other items of tack, such as bridles, head collars, and even cleaning gear.
The TackGuard consists of the safe unit and a separate plinth. The plinth keeps the safe off floors which may be wet or uneven, thus preventing damp or water ingress but allowing unrestricted door opening. The plinth is first fixed to the floor, then the safe is bolted onto the plinth. Once bolted down the locked Tackguard cannot be moved. The photograph shows the safe in place in the plinth.
Construction TackGuards are manufactured from 3mm steel with a 5mm recessed steel door, making TackGuard the most secure saddle safe on the market. The gauge of steel makes it virtually impossible to jemmy a TackGuard door. Then we fit two 7-lever safe locks and conceal the door hinges inside the safe. The two locks can be either on the same key for convenience or two different keys for greater security. Generous vents provide for circulation of fresh air to protect against damp.
Inside a Tackguard, there is a choice of layout; choose from one, two or three saddle models, with adjustable height saddle racks, which will support most saddles from Traditional English, to Western or Stock saddles. (Check out the length of a western saddle against a Tackguard saddle rack at 650mm) There are 4 hooks to take bridles or head collars.
Every Tackguard is built to individual order, and a delivery date will be confirmed with your order, but please assume about 2 weeks for delivery.
